Obtaining your First Aid qualification is a pre-requisite to register and work within the fitness industry. Australian Fitness Academy offers First Aid Level 2.
This Nationally Recognised course is conducted in 2 phases. 1. Online Quiz 2. Practical Application The online quiz takes approx 2 hours to complete. You require 80% or more to pass each of the 4 modules. You can have as many attempts as necessary and you may log in and out after completing a module. This allows you to complete the quiz in your own time, however it must be finished prior to the practical dayThe best way to do this quiz is to use the online textbook as reference rather than reading the whole book and trying to answer questions afterwards. The practical day is a fun, no pressure day of scenarios and practical application which enables you to consolidate what you have learned online in a "hands on" manner. This is where you practice CPR on manikins and run through scenarios that may occur in everyday life. The day runs from 9.30am to 4.00pm with lunch, morning and afternoon breaks and there is plenty of discussion time for any questions you have. There is no written exam as you are assessed during the day and assisted through all first aid competencies as the day progressesThe aim of this course is to develop a student’s competence and confidence in providing emergency first aid. This includes calling for help, the ability to respond to first aid situations, casualty assessment, decision-making, and basic life support functions including expired air resuscitation (EAR) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This course covers adult and child conditions.Learning objectives include:
