In consideration of Australian Fitness Academy (ABN 93 059 452 185) entering into and providing training as described on the reverse of this agreement (Student Enrolment Form) with the person name on the reverse (hereinafter referred to as "student"), the student hereby agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
- PAYMENT TERMS
Option 1: Pay the full amount of the total course fees up front.
Option 2: After payment of registration fee*, pay the remaining balance no later than 7 days prior to course commencement.
Option 3: After payment of registration fee*, an agreement is put into place to have the balance of course fees paid by instalments via direct debit.
*$300 registration fee is the deposit required to secure your place in the course.
Default of payment. If payment has not been received by due date, outlined in point 2 above, a late fee of $25.00 will be charged.
NB: Full payment is required for Group Exercise and First Aid. Registration Fees are not applicable.
- WITHDRAWAL FROM COURSE
Applications must be received in writing on the Application for Refund Form & accompanied by a copy of the original receipt.
Full Refund: 14 days notice prior to course commencement less administration fee. Partial Refund: 10-13 days notice 50% of Course fee.
No Refund: Less than 10 days &/or retrospective applications cannot be considered.
Course Cancellation: Full refund or transfer to next available course. All refund applications incur a 10% course cost administration fee.
If the student wishes to recommence after withdrawal, then the full balance outstanding under this or any new agreement must be paid before the student can apply for recommencement of any training.
- CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT
- Applications by the student will be confirmed upon payment of the registration fee (1(a)), and all successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter after receipt of enrolment.
- The student will only receive a statement of attainment and/or certificate from Australian Fitness Academy when the total course fees have been paid in full.
- Training or registration fees are non-transferable.
- DEFERMENT
- The student may apply for deferment in writing to the Student Academic Officer 7 days PRIOR to commencement of the course. All fees paid will then be held in trust for a maximum period of one (1) year. Any funds held for the student’s training are not transferable to any other persons or entity. On the expiration of this period, any funds not utilised in continuing training will become the sole ownership and property of the Australian Fitness Academy.
- Deferments DURING commencement of course will incur a $100 administration fee. Recommencement into another course will be accepted upon confirmation of new enrolment application within one year. All fees paid (not including registration fee) will then be held in trust as in clause 4(a).
Australian Fitness Academy recognises that students have individual needs and differences between them. This means that we are mindful of the specific needs of every student including language, literacy and numeracy. Australian Fitness Academy addresses these issues seriously and at all times seeks to provide consistency.
- Course Enrolment / Induction
To be accepted into an Australian Fitness Academy course, you must complete a student enrolment form and pay a registration fee (clause 1(a)). Once the enrolment form and fee has been received you are eligible to start your course. Your induction will occur in your first session of training.
- Refund Policy
- A full refund will be granted if course is cancelled by Australian Fitness Academy.
- For refunds for withdrawals please refer to the section above 2 (a) and (b).
- Discipline
Students are expected to behave in a manner which protects themselves and others at Australian Fitness Academy. Incidents of serious misconduct will amount to exclusion from training.
- Appeals, Complaints and Grievances
Students are able to appeal against an assessment result. The first step is to discuss the matter with your lecturer and if not satisfied, you must write to the course coordinator outlining the reason for the appeal within 7 days of the result. Other complaints and grievances must be made in writing to Australian Fitness Academy Management.
- Theory & Practical Assessment Resit Policy
If a student is deemed to be not yet competent at their first assessment, they will be allowed to resit that assessment at no additional cost. If however they are not successful the second round, the student will be given a final sitting at a cost of $150.00. If after the third attempt the student is still not successful in obtaining a pass, they will have the option of redoing the course again at the original cost less the $300 registration fee. Following the course all outstanding assessments must be completed within 3 months of finishing the course. Any assessment past this date will be charged at $150 per assessment.
- Tutors
Tutors are available to all students at a cost of $50.00/hour. These sessions can be organised by contacting the course coordinator.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC)
RPL and/or RCC are available to participants where competence is determined through previous training, expertise or relevant work or life experience where such competence aligns with course content.
